On a very wet day, both teams joined another 6 teams from all over the city. All of the children demonstrated teamwork, passion and especially determination ( even just to continue playing in the downpour). As the morning went on both teams developed their skills. At the end of the morning, the results were in and team 2 had finished in 4th place. Well done to Milo, Mabiha, Joy, Ilyas, Ismail, Arthur, Fariha and Eliza. 

As the results continued to get announced, it was revealed that team 1 had won the competition and would progress to represent Sunderland in the Tyne and Wear final. An absolutely fantastic achievement !! This team had won 7 matches and drew one – special mention to Aiyaz who scored 13 goals throughout the competition and Abdel who demonstrated sensational defending skills including a few last man tackles and blocks.

However, the success was a team effort and all the team should be proud of their performance – as a school we are extremely proud. Well done and congratulations to Sophie, Faith, Aiyaz, Mahbub, Aleeza, Zayan, Hafeezah and Abdel.
