Sunderland Hoops 4 Health Finals
Year 5’s Basketball team found themselves representing the school at the Sunderland Finals played at the home of the Newcastle Eagles.
After a successful qualifying tournament, a team from Year 5 represented the school at the Sunderland Finals of this year’s Hoops 4 Health championships.
This was a great experience getting to play at the Vertu Motors Arena during a Newcastle Eagles home game as well as watching the Eagles play.
In a very close semi final game, with only one basket scored, the team unfortunately lost to Farringdon Academy. However, the children should be very proud of such a fantastic effort, I know we are all VERY PROUD of them!! A massive well done to Missy, Queen, Kyle, Nathan, Hakeem, Valarian, Saarah, Holly and Ismaeel.

A huge thank you to Mr Warkman and Miss Scott for coming along on a Friday evening to offer their support, all the families who came to cheer us on and JH coaches for their services getting us to the game and safely home afterwards.
