RAPS Triathlon Stars | July 19, 2022
A huge thank you to the eight children who represented Richard Avenue at last week’s first Primary School Triathlon. All the children took part fantastically well swimming, cycling and running their hearts out.
When all of the children’s distances were combined, our school finished in third place. A brilliant result. WELL DONE EVERYONE!
Special mentions to Emma R (6C), who was the overall Y6 girl’s winner and to Alec C (5M), who competed in the Y6 competition, finishing third overall amongst competitors a year older than him. Also when Alec’s final distance was measured, he would have been overall winner in his correct year group. CONGRATULATIONS to both Emma and Alec for your amazing achievements.
The children even had the pleasure of meeting Councillor Alison Smith, the Mayor of Sunderland. Overall, a fantastic day out was enjoyed by all!
