The boys football team.

Football. A team of boys represented the school in a football festival at the Sunderland Beacon of Light this week. They performed very well, scoring some great goals and showing determination. Well done all! Special mentions to Arafaat for being selected as the player who showed the best attitude from all the schools taking part and to Lucas, who was identified as a player with talent and was invited to attend the Foundation of Light’s development programme.

Cricket. Some of Year 4 took part in a cricket festival at Eppleton Cricket Club this week, developing their skills in bowling, batting and fielding. They focused on technique and also learned about the role of wicket keeper. It was a great morning during which we spotted some cricket talent for next year’s tournaments. Who knows, we may well have the next Ben Stokes in the making!

Quadkids. Well done to the Year 5/6 Quadkids Athletics Team who finished 6th out of 19 schools in this week’s competition. They completed in: long jump, howler throw, 75m sprint and a 600m run. Huge well done to Mehreen, who was the overall girls winner from 76 girls in the long jump competition!

Year 6 girls cricket team recently took part in the Sunderland Cricket Finals where they played excellent cricket with some outstanding fielding. They won all their group matches and their semi final game coming just short of winning the whole tournament they finished runners up. Congratulations!

Both the girls and boys cricket teams have recently been in action.

Eight Year 6 girls took part in the Girls Cricket Finals at Eppleton Cricket Club. They won two matches, lost two and drew one. Throughout they showed great determination and effort and performed very well.

The Year 6 boys cricket team took part in the Cricket Finals at Ryhope Cricket Club. The boys showed great determination, team work in every game. They won two out of three group matches and made it to tramadol online pharmacy no prescription the semi finals by scoring the most runs of the day. They eventually finished in 3rd Place.
