Eco Club build a Bug Hotel
Eco and Gardening club have been researching how to increase biodiversity in our Wildlife garden and encourage more wildlife to create habitat, so we decided it would be a great idea to build a Bug Hotel for mini-beasts to make their homes in.
We acquired free wooden palates from local builders to stack on top of each other to create the hotel like structure. The children filled the pallets with various materials to encourage the wildlife e.g. straw, leaves, Bamboo canes, plant pots etc.
It is now a permanent structure in our wildlife garden and classes throughout the school use it as a resource linking to wildlife and environmental topics.
A 5 star job if we do say so ourselves and welcome to all bugs.
