On a number of Monday evenings after school the Y5/6 Rugby team took part in the first ever Sunderland Tag Rugby League.
The team played seven games demonstrating great team spirit and dedication as they came from behind on a number of occasions. They won three games, drew three and lost one to be named as joint champions.
Very well done to everyone who participated.
Ten children from year 6 represented the school in the Sunderland Rugby League competition. They played 4 games in the group matches, won 3 and drew one, meaning they won the group and progressed to the semi finals. In the semi final they won 4-1 and reached the final. In a close game they just missed out on winning the tournament but finished as fantastic runners up. Really well done.
The Year 5 and 6 tag rugby team took part in the Mixed Tag Rugby Sunderland Finals. They played 3 group matched winning two, and drawing one. This got them through to the semi finals.
They won their semi final match 20-10 and eventually became runners up in the final from the 16 teams who took part.
