Two teams from Richard Avenue entered the Y5/6 Sunderland Hockey Finals. Both teams played some excellent Hockey. They showed great skill and produced some brilliant team goals. In the end both teams won 2 matches and lost 1 in their group.

When the semi finals were drawn, the Richard Avenue teams were drawn to play each other. Not only would the winning team advance to the final, they would also progress to the Tyne and Wear Finals.

Team 1, with some fantastic goals by Mahian and Miguel, were the winners of the Semi Final match. Unfortunately they were beaten 1-0 in a tight final.

They will now represent our school and Sunderland in the Tyne and Wear Finals, where they will play the best teams from
Sunderland, Newcastle , South Tyneside, North Tyneside and Gateshead.

The Year 5 and 6 Hockey Team in action.

On Thursday 20th March the Year 5/6 Hockey team took part in the Sunderland Finals.

The team played four games in their group. They won their first game 3 – 0, goals coming from Akib, Vishal and Tony. In the their next game the team lost 2-0. After drawing the following game we all knew the final game was a must win to make it through to the semi- finals. A close game saw us going behind until Vishal found an equaliser. Then with only 1 minute to go Richard Avenue got the winning goal with Tony striking a great hit. We had made it through to the Semi Finals.

Although we lost 2-0 in the Semi Final, the team should be proud of making the Semi Finals and the effort that they made. Well done all!

On Monday 20th November the Year 4 Hockey team entered the Sunderland Hockey Finals at Raich Carter.

The team were put into group 2 against three other schools. The team went on to win their first game 2-0 with goals form Adam and Asif. Their next game they won 4-1, goals coming from Adam (2), Isabelle and Mahian.

The final game in the group ended as a 1-1 draw with Haydon getting an equaliser. They finished the group as winners and went through to the semi-final.

The semi-final was a very close game with no goals by full time so it needed a sudden death period to decide the winner. In the end Adam came up with the golden goal that sent us through to the final.

The final was another close game with Richard Avenue narrowly losing 2-1, but runners up was a great achievement and the team felt proud of their performance. Well done all!

The football team

The Year 6 football team played in a 6 aside tournament at Silksworth. While there the team played brilliantly and football being football, won some and lost some.

The Year 5 basketball team went to the Hoops 4 Health Sunderland finals. This followed on from coaching given to them by Newcastle Eagles. They didn’t win the finals but put up a remarkable account of themselves being 5 foot underdogs.

I think is one of the best places to buy this drug, but it’s also important that your doctor tells you what exact dosage you need. Especially if you have bronchial asthma, and the spasms are recurring, as a doctor I would not recommend to choose your dosage on your own.
